You've done the work. Something is still in the way.

I work with high-capability people at critical inflection points - and the institutions that develop them.

STRATEGIC ADVISOR FOR HIGH-PERFORMANCE STUDENTS, PROFESSIONALS AND INSTITUTIONS

Clarity. Direction. Execution.

You don’t come to me when things are working.

You come when something feels off, and you can’t fix it.

You’re:

Stuck, Overwhelmed, Second-Guessing

Or Succeeding… But not satisfied

What I Do

I help individuals and institutions design clear, high-impact paths - supporting premed students, professional development and strategic growth across teams and programs.

Not with surface-level strategy - with precise work that identifies and resolves what’s actually in the way.

What Changes:

Clients leave with:

  • Clarity in days, not months

  • Decisions they trust

  • Momentum that sustains

  • Ability to move without constant internal resistance

Three Pathways

Strategic advising to help people and programs move from potential to execution.

  • I design and support high-impact academic programs, including faculty development, honors pathways, student success systems, and experiential curricula. My work is grounded in structured learning design, high-impact practices, reflective frameworks, and cohort-based models that strengthen engagement, accountability, and long-term outcomes.

  • When you need to get clear, get aligned, and get moving. I work with high performers at key decision points - especially those navigating transition or struggling to execute at their potential. I help identify blind spots, remove internal resistance, and build a real plan with accountability. Strategy without execution is useless. Execution without clarity is exhausting. I work at the intersection of both.

  • I work with high-achieving and premed students—and the parents guiding them—who want clear direction, structure, and a competitive edge. My approach focuses on early decision-making, strategic positioning, and eliminating wasted time, while helping students regain traction when they’ve fallen off track. Engagement options include cohort-based workshops, private advisory sessions, and targeted application and interview preparation, grounded in clarity and behavioral alignment.

Selective Access

I work with a small number of clients at a time.
This allows for depth, precision, and real change—not surface-level work.

Clients who benefit most from this work are:

Highly Capable, Self-Aware, Ready to Move

The Jes McCue Difference.

I’m Jes McCue, and I work at the intersection of strategy and deep personal transformation.

People come to me when they’ve tried everything: thinking harder, planning more pushing through.

And it’s still not working.

Strategy and Human Behavior

My work sits at the intersection of strategy and human behavior. I focus on decision clarity, behavioral alignment, and addressing internal barriers to execution - helping individuals and organizations reset, refocus, and perform at a higher level.

Academic Background

I am a PhD-trained physiologist and educator with over 15 years of experience designing structured, high-impact systems that move people from uncertainty to clarity and from effort to execution. My work spans large-scale online and in-person environments and extends from student development to professional and organizational growth.

Institutional Development

Beyond the classroom, I design and support program-level initiatives focused on student success, career readiness, and experiential learning. I am particularly interested in how academic and organizational systems - curricular, institutional, and behavioral - can be aligned to produce stronger outcomes.

Investment Reality

This work requires a meaningful investment - of time, attention, and resources.

This is NOT for you if:

  • You want surface-level advice or motivation

  • You’re not willing to examine what’s actually driving your behavior

  • You want validation more than clarity

  • You’re not ready to take action
